PayWay Wallet – Digital Wallet for Payments and Transfers

PayWay Wallet

PayWay Wallet is a digital mobile wallet app offered by PayWay Uganda that lets you pay bills, top-up airtime/data, send and receive funds, and link cards/mobile money. The wallet allows you to use your mobile phone as a wallet/account and supports a variety of financial services.

Wallet Features

  • Top-Up Funds:

    • Via PayWay agents, mobile money (MTN/Airtel), or linked cards (Visa/Mastercard).

  • Payments:

    • Pay for airtime top-ups, utility bills (water, electricity), TV/internet subscriptions, taxes, and more.

  • Send & Receive Money:

    • Transfer funds between PayWay wallet registered users.

Simplified Workflow

1. Registration & Verification

  • Download the app from Google Play.

  • Register using your mobile number (international format, e.g., +256 for Uganda).

  • Verify your identity by uploading a valid ID (national ID, passport) and a selfie/video for biometric verification.

2. Top-Up Your Wallet

  • Via Mobile Money: MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money.

  • Via PayWay Agent: Provide your wallet number and cash to the agent, who will credit your wallet.

3. Withdraw Funds

  • Withdrawals can only be done via a PayWay agent.

4. Making Payments & Usage

  • Pay for utilities (electricity tokens, water).

  • Buy airtime/data, pay tax bills, TV subscriptions.

  • Send and receive money among wallet users.

  • Link debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) to pay via card as well.
