PayWay API – Integration and Benefits for Third Parties

PayWay Application Programming Interface (API)

The PayWay API is an online system that allows businesses, developers, and organizations to integrate PayWay’s payment services directly into their systems, websites, or mobile apps.

Benefits of PayWay API for Third Parties

  • Payment Acceptance: Accept payments via PayWay’s network, including mobile money and bank cards.

  • Transaction Verification: Check transaction status and confirm successful payments.

  • Report Access: Retrieve transaction histories and reports independently.

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile payments with internal systems.

Simplified Workflow

  1. The third-party system sends a payment request to PayWay’s API.

  2. PayWay processes the payment (via mobile money, card, etc.).

  3. PayWay returns a transaction response with a status (success/failure/pending).

  4. The third party can verify or query the transaction later using a reference ID.

Next Steps for Clients

  • Clients are usually advised to share an email with their proposal and company documents.

  • These documents are forwarded to the Executive Director (ED) to follow up with the client.
